Share Your Fears With Mine

You turned to me and lifted your shirt a few inches and said, “Touch your belly to my belly” so I lifted my shirt too and we touched. We both laughed with our entire bodies and could feel our abdominal muscles rippling through our skin. We felt tickling over and over again and laughed more and more. Our feet stood inside of a sidewalk square between blue and yellow dead birds and we smiled and laughed for a long time before walking again.
